Copycat competition NEVER allows you to distinguish yourself and your business in your marketplace!
Too often, a business will attempt to compete in their marketplace by surveying the competition and matching their performance and offerings. They will then do their competition “one better.” That is, they will add a feature, bonus, or other additional service that no one else in their marketplace is doing.
Of course, it’s not long before their competition recognizes this and adds this feature along with another “one better” feature. This “one better,” or incremental, attitude to marketing NEVER produces the distinction that the superior business must have to lead in their marketplace.
